Man Shot Dead Outside San Jose Home

SAN JOSE (BCN) -- Police have identified a man shot to death by his friend in San Jose Thursday night as 33-year-old Tyson Krider.

Krider, a San Jose resident, was shot outside a home in the 2100 block of Hikido Drive shortly before 11 p.m., police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting stemmed from an argument between Krider and his friend Ryan Gillis, 28, also of San Jose.

Lopez said detectives have not determined what the argument was about, but said, "It was nothing really out of the ordinary."

Gillis was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of murder.

Police are investigating the murder, San Jose's 19th of the year.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Tony Mata or Detective John Barg at (408) 277-5283.

Anonymous calls can be made to the Santa Clara Crime Stoppers at (408) 947-STOP.
