Man Killed in SF Shooting
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) A 39-year-old man was killed following a shooting outside a dance cafe in San Francisco's Mission Bay neighborhood early Sunday morning.
Officer Samson Chan said the victim and suspect had apparently engaged in a verbal altercation inside Jelly's, a restaurant and dance cafe on Pier 50.
Police said the argument escalated, and the two men stepped outside into a nearby parking lot, where the suspect shot the victim once in the chest.
The victim was transported by ambulance to San Francisco General shortly before 2 a.m. with life threatening injuries. He later died from those injuries.
Police do not have a suspect in custody and have not released any suspect information because of the ongoing investigation.
Chan said that although it appeared that numerous witnesses were on the scene, none has come forward with information.
