Man Found Dead On Richmond Footpath
RICHMOND (BCN) - A 21-year-old man was found shot to death on a footpath in Richmond on Sunday night, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said Monday.
At about 7:15 p.m. someone flagged down an officer in the 5000 block of Creely Avenue to report a man down, French said.
Officers found the victim, identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as Point Richmond resident Kamron Edwards, on nearby on Creely Path, a popular footpath.
Edwards appeared to have been shot, although no one in the area reported hearing gunshots, French said.
She said investigators are still talking to people who were
outside in the area at the time of the shooting celebrating Halloween, but as of Monday afternoon no suspects had been identified.
