Katy Perry Introduces First Ever "CoverBoy"

(RADIO.COM) – Katy Perry has been representing CoverGirl ever since 2013, when the makeup company brought her on board to serve as their newest brand ambassador. And now she's got a new CoverGirl to help spread word about all the latest products. Except, in a fashion twist, her new partner is less of a CoverGirl and more of a CoverBoy.
Perry shared a photo on Instagram with 17-year-old makeup artist James Charles. "Just wrapped another great@COVERGIRL shoot," she wrote.
"Honored to have the pleasure to announce the very first COVERBOY, James Charles! Follow him@JCharlesBeauty! #COVERGIRLJames#glam !"
Charles will star alongside Perry in TV commercials, and will also appear in print and digital ads. Before joining the makeup line, he had already amassed over 430k followers as a rising makeup artist in New York.

Over on CoverGirl's Instagram page, the company posted a video of Charles introducing himself. "Hi guys, my name is James Charles and I'm a 17-year-old makeup artist!" he said. "Today I am living out one of my biggest dreams and I'm currently on set for my first-ever TV commercial with CoverGirl. That's right, I am a new CoverGirl."
