Homicide Victim Found At Abandoned Concord Gas Station

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- A body was found early Tuesday morning at an abandoned gas station in Concord, and police were investigating the case as a homicide.

Police received a call at about 12:20 a.m. reporting a possible dead body in a vacant gas station at Monument Boulevard and Detroit Avenue. When investigators arrived, they found the victim dead inside the building.

Although police were not releasing information about the nature of the victim's injuries, detectives were investigating the case as a homicide, Concord police Lt. Garrett Voerge said.

Voerge added that police had not yet identified the victim.
