SAN FRANCISCO(CBS SF) - A homeless man used a toilet plunger to beat an acquaintance and steal his sleeping bag and ankle monitor charger in San Francisco's South of Market district early Monday morning, according to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle.
The 50-year-old suspect allegedly attacked the victim with the wooden handle of the plunger around 3:30 a.m. near 8th and Market Streets. The victim, a 56-year-old parolee who is required to wear a monitoring device, was also punched twice in the face. He did not suffer any serious injury.
Police did not release the name of the suspect, and no arrest has yet been made. Officers did not know why the man chose to use a plunger.
"We can't make this stuff up," Officer Albie Esparza told the Chronicle.
