Good Question: What Happens When The Boot Is Put On Your Car?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) -- Everyone likes new shoes, but a boot that stops you from driving, not so much. In this Good Question: What happens when the parking authority slaps a boot on your car?

ANSWER: Paul Rose with the San Francisco Metropolitan Transit Agency said you can have a boot slapped on your car if you have five outstanding parking tickets.

You must pay your delinquent tickets and fines to avoid being towed after three days of having the boot installed. Once fines are paid, the boot will be removed.
