PALO ALTO (CBS 5) -- If you drive on Interstate 280 along the Peninsula, it's hard to miss. In this Good Question: What's the story behind that castle-looking tower on Page Mill Road?

ANSWER: Frenchman's Tower has been standing along Old Page Mill Road since 1875. Nobody quite knows what it is. Local historian Steve Staiger said there are a number of theories ranging from a place to store gold and silver, to a boundary marker. The tower was built by Peter Coutts and immigrant from France. Staiger has offered a reward to anyone who can solve the mystery.
