Good Question: How Are Newscast Graphics Created?

(CBS 5) -- They have been a mainstay of TV newscasts for at least the past couple of decades. In this Good Question: How do we come up with those slick graphics in our newscasts?

ANSWER: According to CBS 5 graphic designer Christopher Guererro, computers help us put together the complex overlays of images used in our newscasts.

Often it's a process of photos and graphic images that are rendered and layered to produce a "mini story in a picture." Producers often work with graphic designers to come up with the best images to use.
