Giants Right-Hander Cain Misses Start
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (CBS / AP) ― San Francisco right-hander Matt Cain missed his scheduled start against the Colorado Rockies on Thursday with right elbow inflammation.
Cain pitched a career high 223 1-3 innings last year, and tossed two scoreless innings in his spring debut. Right-hander Ryan Vogelsong, a candidate for the bullpen, replaced him.
Vogelsong threw three hitless innings for the Giants, who won 7-5.
