Firefighters Rescue Elderly Man Injured In Oakland House Fire
OAKLAND (CBS SF) Firefighters rescued an elderly man who suffered serious injuries in an East Oakland house fire early Saturday morning, according to an Oakland Fire Department dispatcher.
Crews were dispatched to reports of a fire at a home on Acalanes Drive near Colorados Drive around 3:07 a.m., the dispatcher said.
Firefighters entered the burning home and rescued an elderly resident, who was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to the dispatcher.
Crews were able to get the fire under control by 3:30 a.m., she said. No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
