Fatal Shooting in Berkeley
BERKELEY, Calif. (KCBS/BCN) Berkeley police are looking for possible witnesses to a fatal shooting Friday afternoon in the city.
Officers responded to several 911 calls about shots fired in the 2800 block of Milvia Street, just west of Adeline and Russell streets around 5:10 p.m.
Police Sergeant Mary Kusmiss said police and fire units arrived at the scene and found a man who had been shot several times in a car, slumped over the steering wheel in the front seat.
Kusmiss said the victim's injuries were "not survivable" and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the Berkeley Police Department.
