OAKLAND, Calif. (CBS-SF) – It seems fitting that the Golden State Warriors will be squaring off against the long-time rivals – the Los Angeles Lakers – on Tuesday night with a chance to set the all-time NBA record for wins to start a season.

The defending NBA champions tied the best-ever start with a 118-105 win over Denver on Sunday. Only two other teams in league history have ever gone 15-0 to open a season -- the 1948-49 Washington Capitals and the 1993-94 Houston Rockets.

But for those fans who aren't season ticketholders and want to witness history in the making it will be a bit pricey.

On the Warriors official website, tickets in the upper sections were going for at least $264 each while two courtside seats would set you back $25,264.

On ticket re-seller Stubhub – a pair of standing room only tickets were going for $560 with a pair of courtside club tickets priced at $4,500.

Those ticket prices were similar to the top prices being spent last year with ticket re-sellers for the NBA playoffs.

While a victory over the Lakers would set a new record, it may not end there.

The Warriors play at Phoenix on Friday night and then could be going for 18 straight with a home game against the struggling Sacramento Kings.

Tickets for the Kings game are a bit more affordable. They currently going for $254 for a pair of tickets in the upper sections to $1,474 for a pair behind the Sacramento bench.
