Big-Rig Crash, Gravel Spill Snarls Hwy 101 Traffic In Redwood City
REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) -- A gravel spill from an accident between a big-rig and a car left multiple lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 closed for more than two hours in Redwood City Friday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported shortly after 6:45 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near Whipple Avenue.

The big-rig spilled gravel onto the roadway, prompting the closure of the three right lanes of the highway, CHP Officer James Evans said.
No injuries were reported in the crash, Evans said.
The roadway was reopened by 8:30 a.m.
