Benicio Del Toro In Considerations For Star Wars VIII Role
(KBCWtv) - According to TheWrap.com, Academy Award-winner Benicio Del Toro is being eyed for a role in the upcoming Star Wars VIII movie. Word has it he may play a villain in director Rian Johnson's middle film of the saga-ending film franchise.
With Johnson taking on screen writing duties as well. The film is produced by Ram Bergman, best known for producing Looper and Don Jon and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
Del Toro was seen recently in Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy and Thor: The Dark World where he played "The Collector." Before he possibly takes on being a baddie in the galaxy far, far away, Del Toro will be in Sicario co-starring Josh Brolin and Emily Blunt.
Filming won't begin until 2016, however Star Wars VIII is scheduled to release on May 26, 2017.
