Are You Guilty Of Manspreading?
If you take public transportation in the Bay Area often enough, you've likely been jilted by passengers who take up an excessive amount of room on buses and trains.
Travelers who spread their legs wide open preventing more people from sitting down are part of a practice now dubbed "manspreading", and they've become a problem—not just in the Bay Area, but worldwide.
The New York City MTA has actively rallied against manspreading, a Canadian city is trying to pass a law to prevent it as well (and a petition has already popped up to fight it), and an SF Muni spokesperson says they're working on a campaign.
However, manspreading, despite its title, isn't exclusive to the male sex; anyone guilty of placing bags and purses onto seats when others can be seated are guilty too.

So what do you think? Are manspreaders inconsiderate? Or is that seated position biologically necessary?
