Amber Alert Called Off After 6-Year-Old Girl Found Safe In Stockton
STOCKTON (CBS SF) -- A 6-year-old girl reported to abducted in San Jose has been found Wednesday morning.
Ava Bar-Illan was found in Stockton shortly before 6 a.m. and is in good condition, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Police said the suspects, identified as Maurice Cheadle, 39, and Dawn Atkisson, 35, who allegedly took 6-year-old Ava Bar-Illan around 1:30 a.m., are in custody.
The male suspect is said to be an ex-boyfriend of the girl's mother.
An Amber Alert was issued around 5 a.m. after the girl was abducted in San Jose and canceled about an hour later.
