2 Killed In 5 Separate Oakland Shootings

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police have identified a man who was fatally shot in Oakland Friday night as 20-year-old Jesus Razo Jr.

Officers responded to the 9800 block of Maddux Drive at around 11:15 p.m. They discovered Razo, an Oakland resident, inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Razo was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and police were asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call the homicide unit at (510) 238-3821.

Less than two hours later, police responded to another fatal shooting at Harrington Avenue and Galindo Street.

Police discovered two shooting victims at around 12:40 a.m. Saturday morning. One man died and another suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Further information regarding the victims was not immediately available.

Meanwhile, 2 other people were wounded in unrelated shootings in Oakland early Saturday. Police say a 21-year-old man was shot around 12:30 a.m., while a 17-year-old boy was wounded a little after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police say their injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

Early Friday night, an officer shot a man when he attacked officers with a metal bar as they tried to detain him for urinating in public around 8 p.m.

It was not known how seriously the suspect was hurt, but police say he is expected to survive.

One of the officers was hurt. She was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released.

Police have not released the name of the suspect or of the officers involved.
