2-Alarm Fire Destroys East Oakland Home
OAKLAND (CBS 5) -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire that destroyed an East Oakland on Wednesday evening.
It appeared the house at 9851 Burr Street was a total loss.
No one was inside the home when the blaze broke out around 5:30 p.m., firefighters said. The flames were put out shortly after 6 p.m.
Smoke from the fire could be seen as far away as Interstate 580.
