Parole granted to man convicted of murdering Modesto couple in 1979
A decision late Wednesday afternoon from the California Parole Board will allow convicted murderer Jeffrey Maria to walk free. Maria was one of four people convicted of the torture, rape and murder of a Modesto couple back in 1979.
