While it's hard to tell, the 49ers are slowly getting healthier. The long list of names on their injured report remains, but nothing to be alarmed about for the time being. St. Louis on the other hand is as healthy as can be heading into this pivotal game to stay out of the NFC West cellar.
With the 49ers sputtering out to a 1-2 start in 2013, everyone is trying to figure out what is wrong with the team many had picked to be the NFC representative in the Super bowl. Their opponent has two very significant injuries, and this game will not be nearly as physical as the war that was the game against Seattle.
When Vernon Davis and Jim Harbaugh eye the Colts sideline this Sunday, they will each look a little differently at a player looking back at them. There are two members of the opposition that have close ties to the two, and should make for some interesting football come Sunday.
San Francisco welcomes second year sensation Andrew Luck to Candlestick in this Week 3 match up. After leading the Colts to the playoffs as a rookie, Luck is back in his second year to show that he is the real deal. He has weapons around him on offense and a respectable defense, but there is no secret that he is the heart and soul of this team, and they key to their success week in and week out.
