Woman Arrested On DUI Charge In Connection With Fatal Crash In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A woman was arrested on DUI charges following a crash that led to the death of another woman in Sacramento early Tuesday morning.

Just after midnight, police were alerted to a crash involving two vehicles in the area of a Northgate Boulevard and Tenaya Avenue. When they arrived at the scene of the crash, police found four people with injuries. All were taken to a local hospital by ambulance where one passenger was pronounced dead, according to a statement from the Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Bryce Heinlein.

The victim was later identified by the county coroner's office as 28-year-old Tiffany Harris.

Twenty-seven-year-old Antoinette Stewart of Sacramento was reportedly driving one of the vehicles and showed signs of being impaired, according to police. She was booked into jail on felony DUI charges.
