Woman, 62, Dies After Skiing Accident At Squaw Valley
OLYMPIC VALLEY (CBS13) - A woman died at Squaw Valley ski resort over the weekend after a skiing accident.
The incident happened on Saturday. Squaw Valley officials say the 62-year-old woman was skiing in the Headwall area of the resort when she slid through a stand of trees.
Ski patrol found her unconscious and unresponsive. She was soon pronounced dead by the Squaw Valley Fire Department.
The woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, officials say.
