Water Officials Keeping Close Eye On Rising Sacramento River
By Kelly Ryan
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Department of Water Resources is keeping a close eye on rising waters of the Sacramento River. If the water gets too high it's time to open up a few of the gates of the Sacramento Weir.
Water levels are at their highest since 2006.
Officials say it'll be awhile before they're needed. Currently it's up to 18 feet, and the gates won't need to be opened until it hits 27.5 feet.
