Turlock Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Modesto Bar Fight
MODESTO (CBS13) — A 19-year-old Turlock resident was sent to a local hospital in critical condition after being stabbed during an altercation in downtown Modesto early Sunday morning.
Police have arrested two suspects related to the assault.
Officers were called to a report of an assault at the corner of 10th Street and J Street at about 1:48 a.m. When officers arrived they located a 19-year-old male victim, who was suffering from several stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, after which he was in critical but stable condition.
The initial investigation revealed the victim was at the Modesto Sports Bar and Grill, located at 917 J Street, when he got into a fight with several male subjects, police said. The parties involved in the fight were escorted out of the business by security and the fight continued onto the street. At one point during the fight on the street, the 19-year-old victim was stabbed repeatedly.
Officers assigned to the Downtown Entertainment District arrived and detained several subjects. Officers were able to identify 19-year-old Christian Manzo-Iniguez and his brother 21-year-old Cesar Manzo-Iniguez, both Riverbank residents, as the suspects in the assault.
Both brothers were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for attempted murder. This investigation is ongoing and detectives believe additional suspects may have been involved.
