Tired Of Tebow? Play Him!
By Frank Luna
Of all the non-stories coming out of the NFL training camps this summer, I've had my fill of the Tim Tebow quarterback controversy in Denver. While I've never been a fan of Tebow coming into the NFL with high expectations, at the very least we should all wait until the kid has actually played in a meaningful game before we judge him. Granted, the Broncos are mostly to blame, first anointing then demoting Tebow before this year's training camps were a week old. But I'll wager this controversy will disappear as soon as Tebow takes the field in the preseason, fighting for a job. If the rumors are true, his inadequate performance should clear up any questions as to whether he's ready to take the helm of an NFL team and lead them anywhere. On the other hand, if Tebow performs better than expected, then let him force the controversy that so far seems manufactured.
