The Don Geronimo Show - October 9, 2012

Don begins with his weekend, in which their friends Greg and Janet dropped by, and while they were there, Don and his Janet had fun messing with them over being new friends with Steve and his wife. Don then tells us about the conversation he had with Janet on the phone over an upcoming prostate appointment, that apparently got broadcasted on her car stereo via her Bluetooth, allowing all the people at the tire shop to hear it! Don even calls Janet to elaborate on the story, before telling us about his neighbor who has a radio controlled helicopter with a spy camera on it. The guys all agree that that is one of the coolest things ever, and now they each want one!

After the guys hear clips of Larry King on WWE Raw last night (which was in Sacramento), and the guys rip Jerry Sandusky for his recent statements on a college radio show, we see a QVC video of a lady passing out on the air, and a 911 call of a teenager who killed his mom and sister. We then get an in studio visit from loyal listener Derek, who is recently separated from his wife, who cheated on him with one of his friends. Don, who wants to send Derek to the Bunny Ranch this weekend, is a bit reluctant, in light of the emails he's received accusing Derek of being "abusive," but after talking with the guys, and even going through the divorce papers Derek has filed, Don agrees Derek is on the level, and decides to let him go to the Ranch!

We then get a visit from a few members of the Stockton Thunder hockey team. Craig gets dressed up in goalie gear, and everybody goes outside to see the hockey players take shots at him. Craig actually takes one in the junk, but regroups and continues taking wrist shots from the guys. After the fun outside, Don and the guys talk about Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman splitting up after a 40 year relationship, and the Octomom getting a gig doing online debates. Today is John Lennon's birthday, and the guys talk about the music of the legendary Beatle, and Don even plays a clip from his appearance on Monday Night Football, and Howard Cosell's announcement on MNF that Lennon had passed. The guys also rate their favorite Beatles in order, and Little Joe plays some of Lennon's greatest songs.

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Sandusky gets 30-60 years, Sesame Street asks Obama to drop a campaign ad featuring Big Bird, box office numbers from over the weekend, and Rosie O'Donnell wants to buy Honey Boo Boo a house. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
