The Don Geronimo Show - May 29, 2012
Don begins by telling us that he just found out that May is "National Masturbation Month," and asks why he wasn't told sooner. We then hear about the barbecue he went to over the weekend with his friends Greg and Janet, who asked Don if Craig was still working with him. Don also tells us that if he and his wife Janet were swingers, he'd want to swing with them. This gets him talking about the party he and Freda attended decades ago, in which it turned out to be a swingers party, and he and Freda were the only guests. We also hear about Don and Janet's visit to Thunder Valley, and Janet's special Costco membership that allows them to get into the store before business hours. We then hear about Little Joe's weekend, in which he got flashed by some young women while driving, and went out in public wearing shorts that were ripped in the rear end (Joe also doesn't wear underwear).
We then hear about a naked man who was shot to death by Miami police while eating another man's face. Apparently the guy was doped up on "bath salt," a new form of LSD, and the victim suffered major injuries. Don asks the guys what celebrity they'd most like to eat the face of, and even has an idea for a restaurant: "Don's International House Of Face." A listener then texts in, telling Don where to find the grisly pictures of the victim, and they're gut-wrenching. Don then tells us about the game he wants to play, in honor of National Masturbation Month, in which he'll have videos of guys playing video games, and guys masturbating, and the object will be to guess who is doing what. Don even wants Billy from promotions in on it, and gives him a call to tell him.
We then hear that the Little Joe/Blind Neal boxing match is on, and Neal calls in to talk smack to Joe. Don also tells us about the new Eastwoods reality show, and how decrepit Clint looks. Don also plays his favorite clip from "Patton," in honor of Memorial Day. We then get a visit from comedian Mike McDonald. Mike, who will be performing this weekend at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco this weekend, tells us that he was actually in Miami during the face-eating incident. He also tells the guys about being known for his "Stuart" character from MAD TV,meeting George Carlin's daughter, and how Phil Hartman helped out his career.
We then hear a few clips, including Bob Saget singing the National Anthem at a White Sox game, Siri telling an "Aristocrats" joke, and Barney Frank's trayvon joke at the Dartmouth commencement ceremony. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about an irate Taco Bell customer in Ohio who rammed his truck into the store, Elvis' crypt being auctioned off, the "Salt and Ice Challenge," and the top grossing movies over the weekend. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
