The Don Geronimo Show - May 25, 2012
Today, Don and the guys are outside the station the entire show! The fellas are all set up in the parking lot, where a mechanical bull, a case of Miller Lite, and food from Dingus McGee's is waiting for them! Don starts by telling us about the dirty text messages he and Phantom exchanged last night regarding Michelle Beadle, and then tells us about the self appointed "Safety Manager" at the station, who made things with the mechanical bull so complicated with his calls to the CBS lawyers, that today's show almost didn't happen.
Craig then puts on Don's Chargers helmet, gets on the mechanical bull, and rides it about 10-15 times throughout the show. We also get a visit from our good friend Cody Stark from Good Day Sacramento. Cody brings a camera crew with him, and does a couple Good Day hits from the parking lot. Craig then gets off the bull, and with Phantom's suggestion, the guys throw eggs at Craig, still wearing the football helmet. Good Day does one of their hits with Craig on the bull, then one with Cody on the bull.
The guys also start a can opening contest with the Miller Lite cans. The contest is to see who can open a can in the most creative way. Some people use keys, some people use tools, one guy just uses his wife! We then get a visit from Taxi Dave, who debuts his new youtube video on the show. We also hear that a boxing promoter wants to put together a blind boxing match between Blind Neal, and Little Joe wearing a blindfold. After talking with Tim, the owner of the mechanical bull, Little Joe gives it a ride, as does the new receptionist girl, Sales guy Sean, Aaron the Engineer, and Noodles. We then hear some lame "comedy" from Little Joe's prep site, a little kid freaking out over American Idol, a redneck on Anderson Cooper saying that gays should be put away, and Donald Trump wants to be Mitt Romney's running mate.
The guys decide on a winner for the Miller Lite contest: Loyal listener Abram, who opens his can with a golf putter that is shaped like a penis. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, a deadbeat parent gets ambushed by a bounty hunter show, some airlines are now charging for window and aisle seats, a mermaid TV show on Animal Planet, and movies coming out this weekend. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
