The Don Geronimo Show - May 21, 2012

Today, Don begins with the post show shenanigans from Friday, in which an inebriated Craig went from happy drunk, to angry drunk, to depressed drunk, resulting in Little Joe taking his car keys, and a two hour nap in the office that left Craig with a bad headache. After Craig's drunken madness, Don tells us about the garage sale his neighborhood had over the weekend, and Janet's idea to sell her banana bread, with all the money going to the local Bulldog Rescue Charity. We also hear about Don's neighbor Larry putting a verbal smackdown on a speeding driver in the neighborhood.

After some "Dirty Jay" jokes, Don gives us his take on Conan being on Letterman last weeks, before going into the new details emerging about John Travolta, and his alleged sexual advances to John Does #1 and 2. Don also introduces us to a white trash hillbilly that goes by the name of "Mema." Mema has all sorts of videos on youtube that have her opinions regarding race, her abusive ex husband, and all sorts of other trailer trash cliches. We then get an in studio visit from Steve DeAngelo, star of the Discovery Channel program "Weed Wars," and founder of the Harborside Marijuana Dispensary in Oakland, CA. Steve, along with his supporters, are lobbying the State Legislature today about the legalization of medical cannbis. Steve tells us all about the medical benefits of marijuana, and Don even talks about how marijuana has helped his medical conditions. The guys also address the numerous legal issues regarding the subject, as well as the ignorant nay-sayers who claim there are no positive effects of marijuana usage.

Don then plays clips from one of his favorite shows: "My Strange Addiction," which includes a woman who eats dryer sheets, a urine drinker, a gas guzzler, and a rock eater. The guys also talk about the passing of Robin Gibb at the age of 62, and we hear an idiotic parody song called "Not Stayin' Alive." We also hear Will Smith slap a journalist who tried to mouth kiss him, David Lee Roth explains the postponements of some Van Halen shows, and an MMA fighter who has been threatening UFC Commisioner Dana White.

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about Piers Morgan's declining ratings, the transgender Miss Canada contestant finishes 12th, the top 5 movies over the weekend, and Macy's is selling a necklace that looks like a certain inflamed female body part. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
