The Don Geronimo Show - June 4, 2012

Don begins with the passing of legendary Family Feud host Richard Dawson, at the age of 76, and asks how Betty White can fit in this new trifecta. Don then tells us about his weekend, which included returning the pod in his driveway that the HOA was complaining about, the dog lady at the CVS, and Don's "duck beak" moment in the bedroom with Janet. Don even calls her so she can tell the story. Don also plays a song Richard Dawson recorded in 1967, that Craig says sounds "a lot like Pink Floyd in the Syd Barrett years." Lo and behold, the song was indeed originally done by Pink Floyd, and written by Syd.

After hearing 911 tapes from the Miami "face eater" incident, we hear about a guy who cut off his wife's lips, and a college student who dismembered his roommate and ate his body parts. We then get an update on the Blind Boxing Match between Littled Joe and Blind Neal, and see a video of a post game interview in the New York Mets clubhouse, in which a player walks by in the background naked. Don then calls Steve Bryant, who was supposed to leave for Sacramento today, but has to hold off until tomorrow, because of some "massive tornadoes" in the area. Don then shows us a video entitled "10 ways to kill someone."

After we hear that Best Western hotels are starting to inspect rooms with blacklights, we hear that Naked Lady Di, who back in April called the show saying she wanted to "end it all," was actually hit by a car unintentionally a few days later and passed away. Don and the guys hadn't heard from her since that last call, and were wondering what happened to her. Turns out she was riding her bike at 10:30 pm on April 29th, when a motorist who didn't see her struck Di at 35 mph. The guys send their deepest condolences to her and her family.

After game of "Foreign Or Domestic," we hear a faux Broadway production of "50 Shades Of Grey," Kurt Busch going off on a NASCAR reporter. and numerous Richard Dawson clips, including his days on Family Feud and Hogan's Heroes. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about the passing of Richard Dawson, TV reminders for this evening, the weekend's box office numbers, and a kid at a Guns n' Roses show who was forced to removed his shirt because it had Slash on it. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
