The shooting happened shortly before 12:15 a.m. Saturday on Taylor Street, and the victim was later located along the 500 block of Wisconsin Avenue, police said.

On Wednesday, police said 48-year-old Rene Monjaras of Sacramento was booked into jail on charges related to being a felon in possession of a firearm. Jail records show Monjaras is being held on no bail.
