Second Lawsuit Filed Over After-School Teacher's Genital Touching Games
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A second lawsuit has been filed by parents following the molestation conviction of an after-school teacher.
Joshua Vasquez was arrested last year and convicted of sexually abusing at least eight students at Mark Twain Elementary School. Prosecutors said Vasquez made friends with children, then played "games" with them - all involving situations where the end goal was getting the children to touch his genitals. Vasquez is said to have recorded the acts.
He was sentenced to life in prison.
A family of one of his victims filed the lawsuit against the school district and its principal, accusing them of turning a blind eye toward signs of abuse.
