SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento Republic FC is preparing to welcome Major League Soccer officials to the area as they make a pitch to land a team in the league.

On the eve of the visit, the Sacramento Republic FC released renderings of a planned soccer stadium in the downtown rail yard. The renderings show the stadium situated in the northeastern section of the 240-acre project on Seventh Street and Railyards Boulevard.

Here's a schedule of the planned events

• Thursday, 12:20 p.m. - Sacramento Airport (SMF) Terminal A
• Thursday 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. - Sacramento Republic FC Playoff Block Party at K St and 20th St
• Friday 2:30 p.m. - Press conference on Railyards (location & parking details to be announced)
