Sacramento Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Closes Suddenly
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour has reportedly shut its doors suddenly on Monday.
The Sacramento location, which opened on Watt Avenue near Arden Way back in 2013, has been removed the company's website.
It is unclear why the location closed. Calls to Farrell's corporate office have not been returned.
A previous Sacramento location near California Executive Airport was the site of a tragedy in 1972 when a plane went off the runway and crashed into the restaurant, killing 22 people.
Farrell's return to Sacramento was celebrated with much fanfare in 2013.
