Sacramento City And Schools Employee Under Investigation For Alleged Sexual Assault On A Child

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Sacramento city and part-time Sacramento City Unified School District employee is under investigation for sexual assault on a child.

Sacramento Police said it began investigating an alleged sexual assault at Mark Twain Elementary School. Police have said they are not releasing many details because of the sensitive nature of the investigation.

However, the department identified a possible suspect as the program leader for the Sacramento's START after-school program and a part-time employee with the school district. The suspect has not been arrested, yet.

The school district said it has terminated the employee after hearing about the allegations, while the city has placed the employee on paid administrative leave.
