Proposed McKinley Village Housing Development Raises Ire Of Neighbors
EAST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A controversial new housing development raised the ire of neighbors who aren't willing to lay out the welcome mat.
McKinley Village would bring hundreds of homes to east Sacramento, south of Business 80 and north of the railroad tracks.
In a standing-room only meeting, neighbors sought answers about the proposed development and accused the developers of being evasive.
They stood in line to speak, and the interruptions were frequent.
Developers believe they can succeed where others have failed in the past 25 years, winning the approval of neighbors and finally get something built starting in Spring of 2015.
So far, it appears to be a tough sell.
