Suspicious Device Found On Business 80 Similar To One Found By Highway 50 Last Month
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A possible suspicious device that forced the closure of northbound Business 80 at Arden Way is similar to one found last month by Highway 50, the California Highway Patrol said on Monday.
Caltrans reported the issue to the California Highway Patrol, which investigated the area. A metal cylinder device that resembled a pipe bomb was found at the scene. The CHP says the device is similar to one that was left on Highway 50 last month during the evening commute.
Traffic was reopened on the northbound Capital City Freeway at around 6 p.m.
