Oregon Father Accused Of Leaving Children In Minivan While He Got Massage
SHERWOOD, Ore. (AP) - Police in Sherwood, Oregon, arrested a man accused of leaving his two young children unattended a minivan while he got a massage.
According to Sherwood police, the children, ages 5 and 6, were hot and sweaty when officers checked on them Tuesday after getting a call from employees of Massage Envy.
The workers told investigators that 35-year-old Khalid Albugami said the mother was with the kids, but she was not.
Albugami was booked into the Washington County Jail on two counts of second-degree child neglect. The authorities later found the mother and she has the children.
The temperature was in the 80s Tuesday afternoon.
