Officers, SWAT Surround South Sacramento Home
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The latest on SWAT situation in a south Sacramento neighborhood:
2:47 p.m.
A SWAT team has completed a sweep of the home and have not been able to find the suspect.
The perimeter is now being broken down.
Police had announced that the suspect had been taken into around 1:30 p.m., but quickly issued a correction and stated that they were still searching.
12:02 p.m.
Officers have a south Sacramento home surrounded as they look for a wanted suspect late Wednesday morning.
The scene is near Milford Street and 67th Avenue.
Sacramento police say the suspect is possibly armed. Police have not said what the suspect is wanted for.
A SWAT team is also responding to the scene.
A loud noise was heard in the area, but police say it was an audible distraction device.
No other people are believed to be in the house with the suspect.
