Nevada County Music Teacher Accused Of Distributing Child Porn
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities say a local music teacher has been arrested on child pornography charges.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says 32-year-old Nevada County resident Ethan Lewis turned himself in to authorities Wednesday. Lewis had been under investigation by the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for the past several weeks.
It is unclear what first tipped detectives off, but Lewis is accused of distributing child pornography on the internet. Lewis' home has also been searched.
Detectives say Lewis had regular interactions with minors in his job as a music teacher.
Lewis was booked at Nevada County Jail but has since posted his $30,000 bond and bailed out.
