Man Who Nearly Ran Over Marysville Officer Arrested

MARYSVILLE (CBS13) - Police have arrested the man who nearly dragged and nearly ran over an officer while getting away from a probation search.

Marysville Police say 23-year-old Andrew David Hicks was caught in Yuba City on Tuesday. He was spotted near Percy Avenue and Garden Highway and was caught shortly after a short chase.

A surveillance camera captured the original incident on video, showing a car driving away with an officer hanging on the side.

The officer, identified as Leticia Reusser, escaped with only a minor injury.

Hicks was booked at Yuba County Jail and is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer, resisting arrest and hit-and-run.
