Man Pleads Guilty To '08 Halloween Shooting

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a Sacramento Halloween party shooting that killed one person and injured five others in 2008.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Carlos "Scarecrow" Allen entered his plea Wednesday after his lawyer and the prosecuting attorney reached an agreement.

Allen and seven other individuals -- all suspected gang members -- were originally charged in the Nov. 1, 2008, shooting that left 24-year-old Patrick Razaghzadeh dead and five others wounded.

Charges against five of the defendants were later dismissed. Two other men are expected to stand trial for murder next week.

Allen is scheduled for sentencing March 11. He faces 11 years in prison for the manslaughter charge.
