UPDATE: Theft Suspect Opens Fire At Chevron Gas Station
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — Told their credit card was being used at a Chevron gas station, the victims decided to stake out the scene Friday night and wound up running into the suspect. That's when thens got dicey.
It happened inside the Chevron at Bradshaw and Micron in Sacramento County. Cops say the victim's vehicle was broken into. The bank said credit card purchases were being made at the Chevron and other locations.
So the victim decided to go to the station in person and possibly look at some surveillance video. Instead, they confronted the suspect face to face.
"When they arrived here they saw a subject carrying a purse and they confronted the individual, which led to shots being fired at the victim," said Rancho Cordova Police Sgt. Steve Dutra said.
It was a hectic scene for several minutes as shots were fired and police and sheriff's deputies surrounded the station.
However, no one was hit and cops took the suspect in custody.
