Man Found Guilty Of '09 Tracy Restaurant Murder

TRACY, Calif. (CBS13) -- A gang member accused of shooting into a Tracy restaurant last year, leaving one man dead and six others wounded, has been convicted on all counts, including murder.

Michael Mau Jr., 25, was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, street terrorism and a range of other charges relating to the October 2009 shooting at Amore restaurant.

Prosecutors said Mau was one of several people who were ejected from the restaurant early in the morning after a fight broke out.

Mau took out his gun and opened fire indiscriminately, killing 41-year-old Tracy resident Naim Bey and injuring six others, investigators said.

Mau had previously been convicted of cocaine possession.
