Man Facing Charge Of Raping 3-Year-Old Skips Court Date, Could Be In California
OTHELLO, Wash. (CBS13) - Authorities say a fugitive accused of raping a young child could be in California.
The Othello Police Department says Juan Hernandez Zuniga was arrested back in November on accusations he raped a three-year-old girl. He was booked into jail but later bailed out.
Zuniga then missed his court date back on Mach 22.
A felony arrest warrant has now been issued for Zuniga. Investigators believe he is in California and possibly trying to get into Mexico.
Border Patrol has been notified, police say.
Anyone who sees Zuniga or knows where he might be is asked to call their local authorities.
