Man Critically Injured In Sacramento Hit-And-Run Accident
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning that has left a 45-year-old man in critical condition at the hospital.
Officers responded to Stockton Boulevard and Dias Avenue at 6:53 a.m. on for reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Medical personnel also responded and transported the man, whose name wasn't released, to the hospital.
Officers were able to determine that the suspect vehicle, a newer model charcoal grey sedan, possibly a Honda, had fled the scene north on Stockton Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle is described as a male Asian 36 to 42 years old, medium build with scruffy facial hair.
Investigators have determined that the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when he was struck by the sedan. Detectives are hoping that someone will notice a charcoal grey sedan with unexplained front end damage and contact the police.
