Police: Tracy Parolee In Custody, Child Safe

TRACY (CBS13) -- The man who was wanted by Tracy police and allegedly barricaded himself inside a home with a 15-month-old child, has been arrested and the child has been removed from the home safely, according to the Tracy Police Department.

Tracy Police spokesman Tony Sheneman says law enforcement officers were at a house at Holly and Clover Streets trying to serve a "parolee at large" warrant on Anthony Stearns, a known gang member, when Stearns barricaded himself inside with the child.

Authorities were able to successfully remove the child from the home before sending in a Police K-9.  After the dog was let into the residence, Streans came out of the house after being holed up in the attic, according to the Tracy Police Department.
