Joerger, Kings Announce Coaching Staff

Just weeks after hiring head coach Dave Joerger, the Sacramento Kings have announced the remaining coaching staff positions joining the organization: Elston Turner, Duane Ticknor, Bryan Gates, Corliss Williamson, Nancy Lieberman and Jason March.

Joerger's lead assistant is no stranger to the city of Sacramento, as Turner, a former assistant coach for the Kings from 2000-2006 under head coach Rick Adelman, makes his way back to California. Turner spent the last few seasons with Joerger in Memphis and has 35 years of NBA experience.

Ticknor is another NBA veteran with more than 30 years of experience under his belt. He is also following Joerger from Memphis, after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach for the Grizzlies.

Former Kings first round draft pick Williamson, who spent the last four seasons on the Kings bench as an assistant coach, was the head coach of the University of Central Arkansas from 2010-13. Williamson had two stints with the Kings as a player (1995-00, 2004-07), averaging 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22 minutes per game.

Gates is also returning to the Kings, after a few seasons as a member of the coaching staffs of the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans. He began his NBA coaching career with the Kings in 2009-10 after spending time coaching in the D-League.

Lieberman is going to be a part of the Kings coaching staff for the second-straight year after being hired by George Karl before last season. She is an accomplished player in the NCAA, WNBA and Olympics, as well as a coach and broadcaster in her career.

Lastly, March is coming from Memphis, where he was an assistant coach/advanced scout. He has spent the last nine seasons with the Grizzlies.
