Girl, 15, Was Driving Stolen Car That Led Police On Chase

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a stolen Lexus driven by a 15-year-old girl has crashed in Southern California during a chase, injuring all five people in the car.

City News Service says Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies began chasing the car Friday morning after receiving a signal from a LoJack anti-theft device.

Sheriff's officials say the car overturned in Rancho Palos Verdes after failing to make a turn.

The driver and four underage boys were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say one of the youngsters had a watch that was reported stolen in a burglary that occurred minutes before the chase.

Sgt. Thomas Anderson says the five juveniles may have been involved in other recent burglaries in the area.
